Continue ReadingLincoln Way West 6’7” 2017 skilled four man Logan Windeler has seen his stock go up over the summer after a strong showing for Example Sports and a closing statement in Las Vegas in a one weekend appearance with the Mac Irvin Fire. We caught up with Windeler to talk about his game, transfer, and recruitment.
He spoke about his spring and summer on the circuit.
“I thought I played pretty good as the season went on. My team and I all improved a lot. Also getting in the gym and training during the June off period made my game two times better than before. It’s very confusing to a lot of people I talk to and myself why I am so under recruited.”
How would he describe his game?
“I’m a very long and bouncy forward. I can handle the ball and push it up the floor. I like to think I have pretty good court vision for my size. I’m a little athletic and can shoot inside and out.”
Windeler decided to transfer to Lincoln Way West for his senior year where he will team up with Marco Pettinato.
“I chose Lincoln Way West because it’s a very nice school. Everything is new. They area is very nice. They made a lot of noise last year making it to state and I don’t have anything else on my mind this season than to win a state ring with them. There’s no reason we can’t do it this year.”
The senior updated us on his recruitment.
“Haven’t picked up any new offers besides Lewis University and American. More schools have talked to me like Loyola, South Dakota, Western Michigan, IPFW, and Eastern Illinois.”
He plans on getting out to visits to Lewis and American.
