CJ Woda doesn’t play for a powerhouse high school program; rather, he plays for tiny Heritage Christian, a charter school in the MCAA. But between scoring 19 PPG for them as a junior and showing promise during AAU and Northstar Hoops events, we have identified Woda as a prospect who belongs firmly in the top 100 for 2017.
“My spring AAU season has been great so far,” Woda said. “I love playing for Crossfire and coach Weege. The coach makes everyone accountable for defense. Playing three years of varsity basketball at Heritage has given me the opportunity to become a very versatile scorer. My goal is to continue to perfect my offensive game with ball handling and shooting efficiency.”When we first saw Woda a few years back, he was a skinny 6-2 wing. He has grown about an inch a year since, and the 6-4 senior-to-be says he might end up being 6-5 or 6-6 when he finally stops.
