The Warbirds won 20 of 22 games with White giving his team 13 points, seven boards, 2.5 steals, and two assists a game. Teammate Darion Ogunjamalousi returns with his 14 points and eight boards plus three other senior class members come back from last year’s team.
White shot 43 percent for the season from the field (took about four threes and a dozen shots a game total). White will be a leader for both his basketball and his football team this year.
“I plan on hitting the weight room and continue to develop my basketball skills,” White told PHD. “I will also develop my leadership skills as one of the senior captains for our defending champion football team.”
White spent some time playing with the Dakota Niners in the off-season as well.
“It challenged me to become a better player by facing unfamiliar faces with different types of game,” said White of his time with the Niners. “When you’re playing AAU, almost every team has a different game plan and that challenges you to pick up their style of play and attacking it.”
White is a long ways from making any type of college decision and we would expect several coaches to watch him compete on the gridiron and hardwood. For him the recruiting stuff is early.
“I competed at the USF elite camp in front of several college coaches which I later on got in contact with, but no schools have offered at the moment,” said White.
“I am currently planning on visiting DWU and USF for a visit.”
