Carpenter has narrowed his list to a final six of Western Illinois, SEMO, Eastern Illinois, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, and Southern Indiana. He has visits lined up to all except Bellarmine at this time.
September 23 Eastern Illinois
September 30 SEMO
October 7 Western Illinois
October 14 Austin Peay
October 28 Southern Indiana
He told us what he will be looking for on the visits.
“I think my #1 thing I’m looking for when I go to these colleges are the relationships between the players and coaches. I’m real big on keeping a tight circle and surrounding myself with people that will only make me better and encourage me.”
The down state post had a strong summer with Pocket City on the circuit. He is a skilled post that can score efficiently with his back to the basket. Also mobility that allows him to run the floor as well as hit pick and pop jumpers.
Carpenter is currently the #20 overall prospect in the 2017 class.
