It might not necessarily always be the highest rated prospect in the program either although it very well could be.
Today’s program MVP comes from Pocket City which is based out of the southeast part of Indiana as well as southern Illinois. Our program MVP is Mt. Carmel 2017 power forward Justin Carpenter.
At 6’7” Carpenter is one of the more underappreciated prospects across the state. The southern Illinois post is a skilled back to the basket player that has a soft touch around the hoop. He can also face up and handle on the perimeter or hit a mid-range jump shot. Solid area rebounder and is crafty around the basket. For Pocket City he had a great closing statement in July in his final run on the grassroots circuit. That strong month concluded in the state’s #3 power forward loading up with a variety of D1 and D2 offers.
Congrats to Justin on winning the Pocket City Program MVP award.
