It might not necessarily always be the highest rated prospect in the program either although it very well could be.
Today we name our MVP for the Young Legends/Fundamenal U program. This might have been among the most difficult of all the program most valuable players. There were a number of ways we could have gone with his one, but in a close call the winner is Conant 2017 point guard Jimmy Sotos.
As we said in the intro this could have gone a number of ways particularly with Cameron Krutwig and Jacob Keller being under very serious consideration, but it was Sotos who takes home the award. After a solid junior year the Conant lead guard put his name on the map with his play in the spring. Sotos is a natural point guard that showed he could play both on and off the ball. He is a plus perimeter shooter that can knock them down both off the catch and from three. We were impressed with what he did at the UAA stop in Indianapolis where he shot lights out! That continued with a strong showing at the PrepHoops Battle at the Lakes. In July he took it up another notch with three huge weeks during the live periods which earned him tons of offers. This IQ guard has a good feel for the game both on and off the ball. Moves well to get open to set up his shot and makes crisp passes.
Congrats to Jimmy on winning the Young Legends Program MVP award!
