It might not necessarily always be the highest rated prospect in the program either although it very well could be.
Today we focus on Team Rose. Lots of good choices here, but we went with Curie 2017 shooting guard Elijah Joiner as our program MVP.
Team Rose has four prospects that will be ranked inside the top 20 of the 2018 rankings that could have all made a case for this. Joiner’s running mate on the 17U Dwayne Rose also put up quality numbers, but at the end of the day the Curie rising senior was the best player and best prospect for this program. Joiner is an electric scoring combo guard that can put up buckets in a hurry! The slick ball handler helped lead Curie to a 4A state title in March and with a quick turnaround was the man for Team Rose on the Adidas circuit. Joiner is a big time pull up jump shooter both off the bounce and from three. Works well around screens and has improved his distribution skills over the last year.
Congrats to Elijah on winning the Team Rose Program MVP award!
