Over half our games were against shoe circuit teams.
Key Wins:
Team Legit, M33M, Team Carroll, and Canada Elite.
Overall Thoughts on Season:
Had a great season overall going up against some of the best teams in the country. We had a few nagging injuries to start off the season but we weathered the storm and finished off very strong. We were widely considered one of the better passing teams in AAU even finishing second overall in team assists in the UAA Finals 17u Open (48 teams) with the team in first having two more games than us.
Standout Performers:
– Justin Carpenter (6’9″ Mount Carmel IL) – Justin did a fantastic job showing off his versatility both inside and out on the offense during AAU while also showing his rebounding ability against guys bigger than him and also his post defense. He’s come a long way since his school sophomore year and he’s got even more to show in the future.
– Jack Nunge (6’10” Castle IN) – Everybody knows what an elite scorer Jack is but he did an excellent job during AAU showing off his perimeter defense against other team’s elite SGs or SFs, his rim protecting abilities, and also finishing stronger near the basket thru contact.
– Robin Duncan (6’4″ Evansville Harrison IN 2018) – Robin has shown time and time again that not just points are needed to make an impact on the game. He even finished second overall in assists per game in the UAA Finals 17u Open (48 teams) and also had a few games this year where he had triple doubles in points, rebounds, and assists.
