The rising sophomore showed off his attacking ability last week at the Super Showcase in Orlando. On the opening day of the tournament, he put together a 23-point performance which included a 15-point second half for E1T1 (15U).
Adedoyin said that his team has been playing decent and competing all summer long, but he added that it’s been tough because they never really have the full team together.
At 6’3″, 150 lbs., the Oak Ridge point guard is currently eating a lot of meat and protein while drinking plenty of protein shakes in an effort to add more muscle this off-season.
He’s working on his jump shot to add to his arsenal. He says his drive to the basket is his biggest strength.
Coming off a 20-7 campaign, the Pioneers advanced to the Class 8A region quarterfinals under head coach Alex Jackson. Adedoyin is in for a big role after getting his feet wet a year ago as a freshman. He tells me that he’ll share the backcourt with rising junior guard Michael Devoe.
Adedoyin doesn’t have an offer or any interest yet, but with a full summer with E1T1 under his belt and a big sophomore season ahead that will change. He has Division-I talent.
