I like groups like this because typically they are all the same level and you can get an easy sense of what that area has. This particular group has talent and was one of the more tracked 2017 groups this summer because they had a lot of kids with size and with grades. DIII schools loved this team and for good reason.
Best Player: Northview forward Andrew Lumsdon could and should be a guy that gets a lot of attention this year. He’s 6’8 and has a game that should produce points. He’s got a lot of skill with that frame and the grades to makes schools interested. There isn’t a ton of size, more than in most years, but not enough to go around. His ability to play on the wing on offense and defend in the post on defense sparked some interest this summer.
Players To Watch: The guy that fits this bill the most at this point is Edgewood guard Cooper Bybee. The 6’2 shooter missed a lot of time with injury and now he goes back to a high school team that lost quite a few weapons. He should be the guy for them this year and he will get more opportunities than he has to this point in his career. He’s going to get the chance and he’s a very good shooter that could take advantage of that this winter. Only time will tell but colleges should track him if that is an area of need.
