They don’t rely upon size too much but the ability to out-run the opposing team and use their athleticism. Guys like Paul Minor, Danny Goggans, and others brought the athletic ability to this team while still providing the ideal style of offense for this group. Dylan Allen found a way to step up his scoring ability in the last year as well and that has helped to really spur this group forward. They always seemed to knock off teams that should be better and they found themselves in good positions on Sundays.
Best Player: The offensive end of the game for Dylan Allen has taken a step forward in the last year. He’s become a little more aggressive in his shot selection but his shot looks better as well. The Beech Grove player was consistently the biggest scoring threat on this team during the summer. Built more around his perimeter jumper, Allen’s stock has grown with his scoring totals.
Players To Watch: There are quite a few players on this team that would surprise people. However, Paul Minor is the best of the bunch and has the most likely path to gaining notoriety here in the coming months. The 6’4 wing is a big, strong kid with tons of athleticism and a guy that isn’t built around his athleticism as you would think. He has a good, underlying skill set that has started to shine through since the spring. He spaces the floor well, rebounds strong, and has a decent touch on his jumper. He still has a lot of polish to add but when looking for a guy to play at the next level, he’s as good of a take as any.
