From guys like Dominic Genco, Jared Andis, Gavin Griggs, Carter Taylor, and Isiah James, they all improved this season and it made this team pretty fun to watch especially at the end. They had a bit of success and even knocked off a few time teams in the process.
Best Player: There were probably a few prospects that would fall into this but at the end of the year it seemed like Isiah James had made the biggest strides and still had room to grow. James really improved as an all-around player and seemed to knock the idea of him being just a low-post threat. He’s so good on the boards and fighting around the rim that you don’t want to see him lose that. However, when he adds in improved ball handling and playing in the open floor, you can be okay with this combo.
Players To Watch: The one player that teams need to watch more of this winter is probably Dominic Genco of Zionsville. The 6’1 guard might not look like he’s going to be strong enough but he plays as hard and aggressive as anyone and doesn’t back down from much. He showed near the end of the high school season about how his offense could take a step forward and continued to do that this summer. He’s in need of taking that part of his game up a level and coaches will want to watch.
