Continue ReadingWe are going to start a series of stories for this Fall where we take a look back at past classes to see where former Indiana High School basketball players are in their career. Today with start with the Class of 2012. This was one of the best classes the state of Indiana has seen in some time with names like Gary Harris, Yogi Ferrell, Ronnie Johnson, and many, many others. We start now with some of the players that committed to schools in the Power 5 Conferences (Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, SEC, Pac 12):
Alex Olah (6’10 – Traders Point Christian) – Committed to Northwestern where he played all four years for the Wildcats.
Austin Burgett (6’8 – Notre Dame) – Committed to Notre Dame where he played all four seasons for the Irish. He went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Eron Harris (6’3 – Lawrence North) – Committed to West Virginia where he played two seasons. He sat out 2014-15 because of a transfer to Michigan State. He played for MSU last season and has one season of eligibility remaining.
Gary Harris (6’4 – Hamilton Southeastern) – Committed to Michigan State, played at MSU for two years. Drafted into the NBA as the #19 overall pick in the first round by the Denver Nuggets.
Glenn Robinson III (6’6 – Lake Central) – Committed to Michigan, played two seasons in Ann Arbor. Entered the NBA Draft early and was picked 40th overall in the second round by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Hanner Perea (6’8 – La Lumiere) – Committed to Indiana, played three seasons at Indiana before being dismissed from the team. He sat out a year before he transferred to East Tennessee State. He has one year remaining at East Tennessee State.
Jeremy Hollowell (6’7 – Lawrence Central) – Committed to Indiana, played two seasons at IU before transferring to Georgia State. He sat out 2014-15 and then played last season. He has one year remaining.
Patrick Ingram (6’2 – North Central) – Committed to Iowa where he played one season. He then transferred to Trinity Valley Community College (JUCO) for a year. He then transferred to Idaho where he sat out a year due to academic reasons before playing this past season. He haw one year of eligibility remaining.
Rapheal Davis (6’5 – La Lumiere) – Committed to Purdue, played all four seasons at Purdue. Went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Ron Patterson (6’3 – Broad Ripple) – Committed to Indiana before going to prep school at Brewster Academy. Committed to Syracuse where he played for two seasons. He sat out this past year as he transferred to IUPUI where he has two years remaining.
Ronnie Johnson (5’10 – North Central) – Committed to Purdue. He played two seasons with the Boilermakers before transferring to Houston. He sat out one year and played one year before becoming a graduate transfer and heading to Auburn. He has one year remaining.
Trevor Thompson (6’10 – Ben Davis) – Committed to St. Johns Military Prep before heading to Virginia Tech. After one season at Virginia Tech, he sat out due to transfer to Ohio State. He played last season at Ohio State and has two years remaining.
Yogi Ferrell (5’11 – Park Tudor) – Committed to Indiana, played at IU for all four seasons. Went undrafted but signed with the Brooklyn Nets for the 2016 NBA Summer League.
