A number of Colorado teams spent the second live period near Dallas at the Great American Shootout. Colorado Premier's 15U squad went 4-3 in the NIT bracket. The Elevation Flyers 16U squad won its pool in the NCAA division.
The teams that found the biggest success were Colorado Chaos and the Colorado Miners. The Chaos 17s, behind a huge weekend from 6-1 2017 point guard Colbey Ross, marched all the way to the title game in the NBA division, where they eventually fell to Dallas USA.
Ross' stellar play during the weekend helped him pick up two new offers -- from Pepperdine and Pacific. Ross went for more than 30 points in Chaos' opening win of the tournament, then got some help from 6-2 2017 guard Jamison Washington on an impressive up-and-under finish.

Jennings picked up an offer from the University of Buffalo last week, while Brimble received new interested from the University of Maine.
The Miners 16s went 6-0 at GASO, their shot at playing for a title in the NCAA division halted only by a flight conflict. Xavier Cooper, the 6-2 2018 guard, continued his standout play while picking up interest from Texas State. And 6-0 guard Mue Muwwakil had a monster 27-point game during the tournament.
