Jonathan Norfleet (2018)- Team Loaded 16U
Jonathan looked like a genuine point guard on the court today as he led his team to a win over Dream Vision. He excelled in transition, pushing the ball up the side lines or blowing by defenders in the open court for easy finishes. He also played well within the team offense breaking down his man and then attacking the help defender. Once at the rim he used his athleticism and knack for finishing to score in multiple ways, mixing in floaters and runners with high success.
Matthew Hurt (2019) – D1 Minnesota
Hurt’s versatility and developing skills made him a huge asset on both sides of the ball today as his team pulled off a big win against the EG10 All Stars. The 6’9 sophomore showed great instincts on defense by rotating well into the help and finding a way to alter nearly every shot taken in the paint. On the other end of the court he moved well as he constantly found the ball on duck ins and flashes to the rim. He showed a soft touch and displayed some high level moves to score around the rim.
Nate Tenaglia (2017) – Mass Rivals 17U
Playing with high intensity through out the game, Tenaglia proved to be the heart of his team by doing anything he could to get the win. He showed off a solid handle as he got his team in to different sets and was always looking to set up his teammates. Off the ball he moved well and with a quick trigger was a reliable threat from deep. However, his biggest strengths were the intangibles he exhibited by setting a hard screens or being willing to put himself on the line to take a charge.
Michael Ertel (2017) – Indiana Elite
With a quick release and plenty of confidence in his jumper Michael Ertol is a threat from anywhere outside the arc. The talented guard does not need to be ball dominant to be an effective scorer and was continuously moving in the offense. He proved to be very apt at finding quality open shots. His footwork coming of screens and ability to quickly square himself to the basket made him very difficult to guard.
Romeo Langford (2018) EG10 All Stars
Romeo looked the part of a big time playmaker with his combination of skill and size. A talented offensive player he attacked the rim constantly out of triple threat and off the dribble leading to some big time finishes at the basket. He seemed to capitalize on every opportunity, knocking down shots when given the space or finding the open man when the defense pushed up on him. Defensively he was able to defend multiple positions using quickness to cutoff guards and strength to force the bigs off the block.
