“I’d describe myself an energetic player,” Balanc stated. “Try to get my teammates involved. Try to score for my team, pick up my team.”
Balanc has been playing basketball since he was 10 years old. Coming from a household with 4 sisters, he’s the only one in his family who plays competitive basketball. The long-limbed guard is a dynamic talent who displays solid two-way upside moving forward. He has a high basketball IQ and understands how to be efficiently attack and create.
“People don’t think I can shoot,” Balanc began. “But I’ll come out there, make a couple of threes and then they’ll try and come out on me and then I’ll be able to drive on them.”
Two of Balanc’s main areas of focus are improving his left hand and his pull up jumper. While he’s yet to receive his first scholarship offer, it only seems a matter of time before division 1 programs begin targeting him. Balanc owns a nice blend of length, athleticism, and a tireless work rate. He’s versatile enough to run a team at the 1 but can also play off the ball and operate on the wing. He also sports a respectable 3.0 GPA at Springbrook. Look for Balanc’s recruitment to heat up along with the temperature in July.
