Barron Tanner 2017 Bartlesville Small Forward
Tanner is a hidden gem in Oklahoma. He is a great athlete that has grown up playing in the paint do to lack of size like many Oklahoma prospects do, but Tanner over the past two years has worked hard to transition to the three. The athleticism, high IQ and toughness of Tanner will allow him to be a 3 at the next level. It also helps that Tanner has played on the wing with his AAU team. Tanner has a smooth jumper with range from behind the arc. Playing in the paint for most of his life has benefited Tanner in some areas for example he has some nice post moves in the paint and is a good rebounder for his size. Defensively, Tanner adjusts and blocks many shots with his leaping skills. Tanner projects to be a division II prospect at the next level.
Tre Jones 2018 McLain Point Guard
He is an undersized Point Guard at 5’7, but has tremendous speed and toughness to his game. One thing that sticks out instantly is his sharp on ball defense. He was able to poke the ball loose several times. At the Point he distributes the ball well setting up his teammates for good looks. When Jones jump shot is going in he is a very dangerous threat on offense.
Nick Robinson 2017 PC West Wing
Robinson committed to Memphis this week for football. However, Robinson is one of the better prospects in the 2017 Class with his 6’5 size and athleticism. If there is a point where he wants to pursue basketball he will have opportunities. Robinson attacked the rim at will using his size. On defense Robinson elevated swatting shots adjusting opponents shot.
Quintevin Cherry 2019 Muskogee Wing
Cherry is a young raw prospect to keep an eye on. He could develop into a very good basketball player over the next few years. At 6’4 Cherry has the size many are looking for at the next level. Cherry is very raw, but showed signs of promise with several strong drives to the rim. He will be a key player for Muskogee this year as a sophomore.
Payton Bradley 2017 PC West Shooting Guard
Bradley is the kind of player every team needs to win a title. He hustles his tail off non-stop on both ends of the floor. Bradley has a strong drive to the cup, but his best attribute is his tough defense. Bradley is sliding up the charts in the 2017 Oklahoma Rankings with his toughness, hustle and will to win.
Zeph Smith 2019 PC West Point Guard
He got going from three-point land. Smith is a young undersized guard with great quickness, solid handle and a smooth outside jumper. He is one of the more talented 2019 guards that I have seen. He has good instincts for a young guard.
Carson Meier 2018 Shawnee Wing
Meier is an intriguing upcoming prospect with tools that will catch colleges eyes. He is a long wing at every bit of 6’5 on the wing. He is sneaky athletic on the court. He has improved his footwork and jumper. If he can take his jumper up another level he will be a problem for opponents on offense. Meier has a chance to rise in the rankings over the next year and a half if he can continue to improve in all facets of the game.
