Two Hoosiers Invited To USA Basketball Training Camp
USA Basketball has done well in the past with finding top end talent in the Hoosier state and this year they have dipped in again as they have invited three local talents to the Training Camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Romeo Langford and Jaren Jackson Jr. are two of 39 players in the class of 2017 that have been invited to tryout to make the U-17 National Team.
The camp gets underway on June 10th and will go until June 22nd. On June 12th, the final cuts are anticipated to be made for the roster. Only 12 players will make the roster and those who make it will play in the FIBA U-17 World Championships in Spain from June 23rd to July 3rd.
Langford has had an exceptional winter and spring as his New Albany (IN) team won the 4A State Title and he’s been picking up offers left and right playing for EG10 2017 this spring. He now has offers from some of the top programs in the country including Kansas, Kentucky, and Duke. Jaren has also been one of the hottest names in the country as he’s been playing for Spiece Indy Heat.
