Eric Hunter
6’2 – SG – 2018 – Indianapolis Tindley / Team Harris 2018
Eric has been one of the best players in his class since he was a freshman and showed up at Tindley. This summer, he has continued his progression and now sits as one of the better pure shooters in the state. His ability to make mid-range pullups, deep threes, and do it consistently and with volume during the course of a single game makes him near the top of this particular category.
Trejean Didier
6’2 – SG – 2018 – FW South / Spiece Indy Heat 2018
Trejean is one of the best deep range shooters this state has and that is even with him being a deeper option on his AAU team. He’s not the spotlight player and that makes him a little more intriguing. He’s a guy that likes to shoot from down deep in the corner and can rip off a bunch of those in a row. You have to keep track on him even more so now that he is learning how to drive to the rim.
Trevor Lakes
6’7 – PF – 2017 – Lebanon / Grassroots Indiana 2017 Blue
Lakes continues to roll up prospect boards because of his shooting ability. He’s doing very well this summer knocking down perimeter jumpers and coaches seem to be paying attention. Trevor can hit off the catch or dribble into one as well as step into the mid-range a bit. With his size, it makes him so difficult to defend. Offensively, he provides a combination that makes him coveted.
Sasha Stefanovic
6’4 – SG – 2017 – Crown Point / EG10 2017
Sasha has risen faster than anyone else in the state because of his ability to do just about anything on the court he wants to do and that includes being one of the better shooters the state has. He doesn’t rely on it like most others but he shows it enough to accentuate the other aspects of his game. Sasha can be a bigger threat from deep but he’s very adept at getting into the lane and making plays but if he had to, he could knock down from three all day long.
Jaren Jackson Jr.
6’11 – PF – 2017 – Park Tudor / Spiece Indy Heat 2017
Jaren’s transformation to a perimeter player is really based on the fact that he can shoot so well from three. He’s shooting a ton right now, maybe a little too much but he’s able to do it because he isn’t missing very often. At 6’11, he’s so difficult to slow down and so once he hits once, he can get into a groove and just start firing. Will have to learn how to create into those shooting opportunities but his touch is great right now.
Courvosier McCauley
6’4 – SG – 2017 – Indianapolis Manual / Indy EBC 2017
McCauley is one of the better pure shooters the state has. He’s got perfect touch but a little trigger happy. However, his shooting is effortless and clean and he’s able to create those spots as well as anyone. His range is well beyond the three-point line giving him another mark as one of the better deep shooters. He’s got value in his offensively ability and once it is refined, he should be a great option.
