“This spring has went well,” said Robert. “Things are starting to click for both me and my team. Coach Knippling has been great in showing me the things I need to work on and allowing me to use my skills to help our team out.
“I’m excited for the summer to go on so I can keep using his advice to get better and I’m excited to see the player he can mold me into.”
PBC will be back on the court against at the end of the month in the Great Plains Alliance event followed by playing in the Sumer Jam at the Pentagon and the KC Hardwood Classic at the end of July.
“In the upcoming tournaments, I need to improve on the small details of my game: elevating on my jump shot, finishing better around the rim, etc. I would also like to improve on my perimeter shooting.
“I have always been able to get to the rim with my quickness and finish around the rim, so lately I have been working on my jump shot to open things up for me more,” said Vomacka.
“This school year I was shooting very well and almost lost my ability to take it to the rim. I’d like to improve on keeping my jump shot while also being aggressive towards the rim.”
Robert is getting looked at in a big way for football but really likes basketball. He will be a college athlete but where and when is something that will be decided at a later date.
“For football I’m hearing from SDSU, NDSU, USD, Augie, Northern State, Dakota State, USF, DWU,” Robert told PHD.
“In basketball nothing very official but I have kind of been talking to Black Hills State, Mount Marty, and Dordt. As far as college, I’d like to play basketball unless football provides a better opportunity for me. I’d like to major either in some sort of engineering or possibly business.”
Robert has goals and will likely take some steps towards those goals in the coming weeks.
“I’d like to continue getting better and get around to some camps and hopefully start talking to some basketball coaches. As far as football, I hope to get some football offers.”
