Continue ReadingWith a year of high school ball and a spring of 15U under its best, the class of 2019 is starting to take shape.
And one of the class’s first stock-risers is Waukee and Iowa Barnstormer guard Noah Hart.
The 6-foot-1 freshman was starting all last weekend with a Barnstormers team that took the crown in a loaded field at the Prep Hoops Battle at the Lakes in Minneapolis.
Still so young, he has no recruitment to speak of, but his will be a name to know over the next three years.
“No recruitment, not of right now. I have not seen any letters or anything,” said Hart. “I mean, I’m going to work hard every single game, because you never know who might be watching you, and you always just got to play hard.”
A shooting guard who lets it fly with confidence and from range, Hart defined his playing style to PHI.
“My strengths are mostly shooting, and I’ll help bring it up the floor a little bit when our point guards are out. But I’m mostly used to shoot the ball, hitting the 3, and the pull-up jumper,” said Hart, who is eager to improve his ball-handling and become more of a true combo-guard.
“I still need to work on my ball-handling for sure, when the pressure comes, and the double, I need to be stronger with the ball and make sure I can get through that. I need to become more of a ball-handler that can knock-down the shot.”
After playing with Kingdom Hoops in year’s past, he decided to make the switch to Barnstormers for his 16U season, where he has made an immediate impact with the team.
“My role is to be a leader and make sure I talk and lead and knock-down open shots,” said Hart. “I need to just become more of a dynamic point guard and just knock-down more shots and get ready for high school season as well.”
Where will you see the 6-foot-1 guard next season?
“I played freshman ball last season, and I believe I’m going to play varsity this season,” said Hart.
