Moody has been on the campus of North Dakota State recently and Bison head coach David Richman was in Sioux Falls a couple weekends back watching Moody while other members of the staff also watched him.
Will it happen from NDSU others? Tough to know. He has camps in June and the July open period to make an impression in front of coaches this summer. Right now he has an offer from the University of Mary and others are following him close.
“I’ve heard from Minot State, Williston State, Weber State, UND, and NDSU,” Moody said.
Moody is playing with the Dakota Phenom who will be in the Battle at the Lakes in two weeks and that’s a tournament where one of the two best in Minnesota are playing (D1 Minnesota), best in Iowa (Iowa Barnstormers), best in Michigan, and some of the top teams from Illinois, the Dakotas, and others are all playing.
Moody will have a chance to play big there and his team will have a chance to improve on a decent but not amazing April.
“I think these first couple weeks have been good to build some chemistry with the new guys we added, and learn how to play with each other.
“I’d like to see myself improve on rebounding and creating more shots for my teammates. I think my three-point range and ability to shoot off the dribble were my biggest improvements from this winter.”
Moody and the Phenom play in the Twin Cities in back to back weekends competing in the Battle at the Lakes and then the strong Fury Tournament as well.
