Coleman showcased the skills and athleticism that make him an elite point guard throughout the weekend. He excelled at setting the pace by exploding past defenders in transition when they had numbers or slowing it up when necessary. He also displayed high court awareness by constantly breaking down his defender and making smart reads. He had a personal high this weekend of 21 points against California Supreme.
Kevin “K.J” Davis/ 6’6/ Forward
Over the course of the weekend K.J showed his ability to positively affect the game regardless of whether or not his outside shot was falling. After starting the weekend 0 for 5 from deep, Davis remained confident in his shot and closed out the session going 7 for 12 from behind the arc. By relentlessly attacking the offensive glass he created numerous second shot opportunities for himself and his team mates. He also had a strong defensive impact as he was able to get in to the passing lanes and challenge perimeter shots.
Mike Cunningham/ 6’2/ Shooting Guard
Mike Cunningham established himself as a legitimate threat from deep as he knocked down shot after shot throughout the session. He consistently worked hard to find open shots and looked just as comfortable shooting off the bounce as he was in catch and shoot situations. In his last game of the weekend Mike went 5 of 6 from deep and finished with a team high 23 points
Keyontae Johnson / 6’4 / Wing
With strong and explosive play, Keyontae exhibited the physical tools and skills of a top tier player. Using a solid build and athleticism he was able to constantly get through traffic and finish tough shots above the rim. He also consitantly moved well off the ball and showed off a reliable jumper from both long and midrange
Chris Greene / 6’6 / Forward
Using his length and size to his advantage Chris was effective on both sides of the ball. He displayed good effort and footwork on the defensive end allowing him to guard post and perimeter players. He contsantly fought down low leading to some tough buckets and then stepped outside to show off a good shooting touch. His competiveness and energy played a big role in his teams success over the weekend
Damian Knowlin/ 6’1 / Shooting Guard
Damian showed a range of versatility in his game by scoring in multiple ways from all over the court. With good footwork and a quick release Damian filled it up from deep all weekend. He also showed off great athleticism in transition as he stretched out for some emphatic finishes.
