#8 JJ Rhymes 6’3″ Shadow Mountain
Rhymes has consistently been one of the most productive players in the state of Arizona. He is a physical and athletic wing that plays with a big time motor. He is very good around the basket and getting to the free throw line. He also rebounds and defends at a high level. Multiple Division-I schools have extended scholarship offers. The junior college route may also be an option.
#14 Channel Banks 6’3″ Hillcrest Prep
Banks was the best player in the backcourt for a talented Hillcrest roster. The combo guard showed that he was adept to pushing the ball up the floor. However, he was best when looking to score. A low major type recruit.
#25 Gresyn Rogers 6’4″ Casa Grande
Rogers’ lack of recruitment has been somewhat of a mystery. The 6’4″ wing has good size, a physical frame, and solid athleticism. He also scores from multiple levels as he can shoot the three, finish through contact, and has a nice one dribble pull up. On top of that, he is a 4.0 student. Gresyn will be a gem recruit for whoever is able to steal him.
#28 Nik Nehls 6’4″ Catalina Foothills
Nehls is a highly skilled combo guard. At 6’4″ he’s lengthy and has the ability to play all three positions on the perimeter. Nik has a great feel for the game and is lights out from beyond the arch. He did not finish the season with Catalina Foothills for undisclosed reasons but will likely head the prep route next season.
#31 Antwan Ross 6’3″ Basha
Ross had a breakout senior year after blowing up during the final weeks of the 2015 July evaluation period. Antwan is just now beginning to tap into his potential, however. The 6’3″ wing is a high level athlete who excels in transition. He’s tough and plays with a high motor. As he continues to develop his IQ, he will make big strides as a prospect. He’s a high level Division-II recruit with higher upside.
#33 Jalen Holman 6’3″ Buena
Holman is another prospect who’s best years are ahead of him. The 6’3″ guard is strong and possesses good athleticism. He is quick and gets into the paint at will where he uses his court vision or acrobatic finishes to make plays. He has also gained consistency on his outside shot. While he could land some Division-II/NAIA D1 scholarships his best bet may be to develop more at the junior college route.
#36 Drew Hatch 6’3″ Mesa
Hatch had a huge senior year, leading the Jackrabbits to the Division-I state championship while playing without his fellow senior leader Darius Goudeau. Drew is a high level sharp shooter from beyond the arch. He’s physical, tough, and-though not overly athletic-is a solid defender, especially off the ball. The poised 2-guard is a solid Division-II/NAIA D1 level recruit.
#41 Ebenezer Hakizimana 6’4″ Tolleson
A lengthy wing with gifted slasher skills. Hakizimana has good size on the perimeter. He’s a solid athlete with good quickness which allows him to get into the paint at will. Improved consistency on his outside shot would raise his stock tremendously. Currently a Division-II/NAIA D1 prospect.
#42 Isaiah Murphy 6’3″ Cienega
One of the top players in the Tucson area. Murphy excels in transition. He is a defensive first player that generates offense with his ability to anticipate in passing lanes. While in transition, he is very efficient with his dribbles and makes good decisions. A small college level prospect.
#52 Isaiah Walton 6’3″ St. Mary’s
Walton is a consummate 2-guard that plays with poise and toughness. He’s a defensive minded player who is long with a solid strength. Offensively, he has improved as a catch and shoot player. He has a solid IQ and plays with an unselfish mindset. A small college level prospect.
