Magarth has only been with the Fury for a month but so far it’s been a good month of play.
“It’s been really fun,” Weston said. “I’ve really enjoyed our first three tournaments so far.”
Weston’s mind is set on not only being one of the most frontcourt players in the state but also an improved big who can face the basket.
“I would like to take more mid range shots in games and keep working on my jumper,” Magrath said. “I feel I have improved a lot on defense and become more aggressive and getting after loose balls.
“Recognizing double teams and finding the open man and just finding cutters has improved throughout the year.”
At his size and agility Weston of course has several schools that are currently showing interest.
“North Dakota State, South Dakota, St. Cloud State, Southwest Minnesota State, Sioux Falls, Northern State, Augustana, and Minnesota State-Moorhead are showing the most interest,” Magrath said.
Southwest Minnesota State has offered a scholarship to Weston and he has goals that could help him receive more in the near future.
“My goals for the rest of the summer are to continue to be a good teammate, keep working on becoming a versatile 4-man, improve my mid range jump shot, defend at a high level, and finish around the rim with contact.”
