This is why he has gotten offers from Kansas, Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, Xavier, Illinois and Louisville. These programs have also taken visits with him, like Tom Izzo did last week, and he is planning on taking unofficial visits to Michigan State, Indiana and Xavier in the future. While he hasn’t thought of where or when he will take official visits, he’s enjoying the process.
“I’m enjoying every bit of it because only a limited amount of players get to have this enjoyment with the recruiting process,” he said.
Scruggs is getting the looks because of what he offers programs. He has an intensity on the court and is constantly in attack mode. He can get to the basket and finish extremely well, and doesn’t shy from contact.
It also helps he isn’t satisfied with where his game is at now and is taking advice from coaches on how to keep getting better.
“When to push the ball and when to slow down and when to stop and pull up (is what I’m working on),” Scruggs said. “And really need to work on my jumpshot.”
