Finstuen competes with the top Minnesota Fury team who has won 10 of 13 games so far this season. They’ve earned a second place spot in the Comets Shootout, a second place spot in their pool in Iowa, and a Sweet 16 position in the Pitt Jam Fest.
“They have been really great, “ said Broc of his games with the Fury so far. “I’ve had a blast with this group of guys and I can’t wait to see what the rest of (Grassroots) has to bring.”
When talking about the upcoming months Broc is focused on improvement day by day.
“I would like to improve on my shooting,” Finstuen said. “Always room to get better, that will be my main focus going into summer. As well as dribbling. I have improved a lot on my defense. But going into the summer I will be working on everything.
“My goals are to keep improving, and be the best player I can be. And be one of the best (Grassroots) teams in the state. Really glad to be back with Fury again and can’t wait for the rest of the summer.”
Brock is hearing from several programs so far.
“I have heard from NDSU, Augustana, Sioux Falls, St. Cloud State, Truman State, and Western Missouri. I also talk to Bemidji State, Northern State, Hartford, and Minnesota-State Moorhead as well.”
Truman State and Sioux Falls have offered Finstuen. When the first offer came Broc was overjoyed.
“It was crazy, I started crying a little bit. All I could think of was all that hard work I put in has finally paid off. It was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had.”
