17U
Roster
Andrew Seeman, 7′ C, Spirit Lake
Ben Dentlinger, 6’5 PF, New London
Dawson Jones, 6’8 F, Johnston
Drew Johnson, 5’11 PG, Waukee
Jacob Rau, 6’7 PF, Waukee
Malik Parker, 6′ PG, Chicago Christian (IL)
Matt Dentlinger, 6’7 F, Kuemper Catholic
Parker Lange, 6′ PG, Storm Lake
Sam Allen, 6’4 SG, Grinnell
Stephen Elliott, Princeton RV (MO)
Notes: There’s no small-ball to speak of with this Martin Brothers squad. They have the state’s tallest player with 7-footer Andrew Seeman, and a bevy of additional posts will carry the load this spring and summer. This particular MB team has some big shoes to fill as last year’s 17U team won the National AAU Tournament in Louisville. This season’s 17U team has added some new talent from out of state, while keeping together a nucleus of talent from last season’s 16U group. With sharpshooters, ball-handlers and great size, this should be a fun team to watch.
Schedule:
April 1-3: Swish-N-Dish — Milwaukee, WI
April 15-17: Spring Extravagaza — Minneapolis, MN
April 22-24: Lone Star Invitational — Dallas, TX
April 29-May 1: Spiece — Fort Wayne, IN
May 6-8: Kings of the Court — Ankeny, IA
16U
Roster
Ben Gerdes, 6’3 G, Cedar Falls
Carondis Harris-Anderson, 6’2 G, Waterloo West
Dylan Eastman, Dowling Catholic
Grant Dirks, 6’6 C, Center Point-Urbana
Jackson Joens, 6’5 G/F, Xavier
Jacob Robertson, Linn-Mar
Jason Taylor, 6’9 C, Rock Valley
Jordan Lake, 5’11 G, Western Dubuque
Joseph Evans, 6’6 PF, Dowling Catholic
Luke Vaske, 6′ PG, Norwalk
Matt Mims, 5’11 PG, Xavier
Nolan Puff, Linn-Mar
Tyler Kelley, 6’4 G, West Delaware
Van Rees, 6’6 F, Sioux City East
Will Pottebaum, 6′ G, LeMars
Notes: This is one of the more intriguing teams in the state regardless of class. It features six ranked players from our most recent 2018 top-20, including two top-10s — and former Iowa Barnstormers — Luke Vaske and Jackson Joens. Van Rees is a valuable returnee this season, he’s the biggest stock-riser in 2018, and not far behind him is another new face and recent state champion Matthew Mims. We just need to hope this team matches up with the supremely talented Barnstormers 16U team sometime this summer — that would be a tremendous ballgame.

15U
Roster
Aidan Vanderloo, 6’1 G, Sioux City East
Brad Hartnett, South Sioux City
Carter Cuvelier, 6’3 SF, Aplington-Parkersburg
Cham Deng, Storm Lake
Christian Stanislov, 6’3 SG, Glenwood
Cole Henry, 6’5 PF, Oskaloosa
Dillon Carlson, 5’10 SG, MOC-Floyd Valley
Dylan Jones, 6’7 PF, Waukee
Josiah Jansen, MOC-Floyd Valley
Jack Peterson, Sioux City East
Mason McCaffery, 6’1 G, Spirit Lake
Owen Coburn, 6’10 C, Spirit Lake
Notes: Like the 16U team, this team features some of the most elite talent in its class. Aidan Vanderloo and Owen Coburn both find themselves among Iowa’s top-5 in 2019, checking in at three and two, respectively. Christian Stanislov and Carter Cuvelier are two guys are starting to catch some buzz; we’ll be monitoring their production closely. Like Martin Brothers’ teams of past, present, and presumably future, this one has plenty of sheer size, and should be able to dominate in the paint. But it’s a multidimensional squad with Vanderloo providing a nice punch at guard, making this a balanced attack, and a team certainly among consideration for best in the state.
