It’s still very early in his recruiting process, but he has seen some initial interest from two D1 programs already.
“Drake sent my high school coach some stuff during football season, and I talked on the phone with one of the assistant coaches from North Dakota,” said Krogmann, who once again will play with the Iowa Barnstormers this spring and summer.
“I’m not really worried about it a ton right now, but I’m hoping to get some more interest this summer. We’ll be playing in the Adidas Gauntlet, so I’m really hoping we can do well in that.”
The 6-foot-6 power forward says his post game is a strength of his right now, but he’s hoping to develop more as a stretch-four this offseason with the ‘Stormers.
“I score in the post pretty well, and I feel I defend well and get a lot of the hustle plays. Most of my points come from inside — either driving to the hoop or off post feeds. But I’ve been working to stretch my game out a little bit farther,” said Krogmann who averaged 11.5 points and 8.9 rebounds this season as a freshman.
“My role was to rebound, play good defense and score when I got the ball,” said Krogmann. “I really became a better defensive player, our coach really stressed that every day in practice.”
What will he be working on this spring and summer?
“Right now I’m really working on my midrange game,” he said. “Being able to catch it on the elbows, and then score from there.”
