Joe Johnson was the guy who got things going with a few early rebounds and some tough buckets at the rim. He was able to press up on their guards and make life difficult.
Metro fell into a slump early found it hard to attack the rim. They lacked shot attempts early and at the same time, Tindley was not missing. Hunter White and Eric Hunter got going in the second quarters but K.J. Coleman made things hectic on the perimeter where his aggressiveness turned into steals and some easy buckets at the other end.
Player of the Game:
Eric Hunter – 6’2 PG – Sophomore
Eric is just too talented and Metro really struggled to get him out of his rhythm and he just kept going and going. Really a group effort with Joe Johnson getting things started, K.J. Coleman continued it and Eric Hunter cleaned up. Hunter was just too difficult to stop and most teams are going to struggle with it. The team will go as he does but tonight showed that they can win as a group.
