One of the more intriguing perimeter shooting small forward prospects came off the board on Monday night with the commitment of St. Ignatius senior Will Fleming to Carnegie Mellon. Fleming told us why they were his choice.
“I chose Carnegie because I felt it was the best fit for me. An assistant was my coach at a camp over the summer and we developed a great relationship. The school is terrific and I’m very happy I’ll be able to play basketball while receiving a great education.”
Fleming is a 6’5” wing that is a plus shooter from the perimeter. Best off the catch from three and when he can catch then turn in the mid-range from 15-18 feet. Quality pick up that should be a solid four year contributor.
