Christian Kyles is the highest ranked newcomer to the rankings (28) — followed by Joey Kern (29), Dawson Jones (79), Cameron Cramer (77), and Kyle Lang (84).
Jal Bijiek is the biggest winner in the new rankings. He’s leading 4A in blocks (4.9 per game) as a small forward — he jumped into the tough-to-crack top 5, checking in at No. 4.
Douglas Wilson continues his steady rise. He was just outside the top 10 in the last installment, but makes his debut this time around, checking in at No. 9.
He’s having the best statistical season of any other guard in the state; dominant even. For that, we’ve ascended Trenton Hilbrands into the top 10 for the first time. He’s No. 10.
Yet another Kingdom Hoops product makes a substantial leap in new rankings. Chariton small forward Lim Chuol has been a triple-double machine this season – he jumps 20 spots, from 37 to No. 17.
Belle Plaine’s 6-foot-4 guard Brant DeMeulenaere has been tremendous this season for the Plainsmen. He’s got great size, shoots it very well, assists and rebounds too. Enough for him to jump 25 spots, up to No. 24.
A 6-foot-7 forward who has done everything well for one of 3A’s best teams. Cedar Rapids Xavier’s Max Techau makes the leap from No. 46 way up to No. 18.
Connor Gholson has taken his game to another level this season. He’s averaging nearly 20 points for Newton, and jumped 12 spots from No. 39 to No. 27.
After playing sparingly as a sophomore with Waukee, 6-foot-7 power forward Jacob Rau is now becoming one of the state’s best big-men. He jumps 15 spots, up to No. 30.
Other notable improvements — Matt Dentlinger: up 8 spots to No. 16, Kyle Nevitt: up 11 spots to No. 25. Ray Miller: up 14 spots to No. 34. Michael Demers: Up 79 spots to No. 34. Dayton Ross: Up 51 spots to No. 37, Tajen Ross: up 54 spots to No. 38, Brady Elder: up 79 spots to No. 39, Dakota Strong: up 79 spots to No. 40, Ethan Wyant: up 15 spots to No. 42, Ben Juhl: up 19 spots to No. 50.
