Kris Wilkes
6’7 – SF – 2017
Wilkes got started off slow but really came up big in the second and third quarter to put this game out of reach. He’s so talented with the ball in his hands and at 6’7 you really can’t defend him. He showed again his scoring ability with a lot of plays around the rim, whether he was already in the post or on the perimeter and getting to the post. His poise stood out today. Struggled early but stuck with it and got going later. Always impressive.
Mateo Rivera
6’0 – PG – 2017
Mateo keeps looking more and more comfortable running this team. Most thought he would be good but he just looks like he is the leader now. He shot really well in this game and sparked the early comeback for North Central by knocking down four three-pointers in the first half on 8 shots.
Tyrie Johnson
6’2 – SG – 2016
You don’t get long stretches from Tyrie Johnson but he gives you two or three play stretches where he just takes over. Tyrie gives you a lot on defense where if he is put at the right level could be your lock down perimeter defender. He showed a little more of his slashing ability which is one of the best parts of his game. Didn’t get on the scoring like he normally does but still found ways to impact the game, i.e. assists, rebounds, creating.
Emmanuel Little
6’6 – SF – 2017
Little has continued to prove he is one of the best rebounders in the state. He showed that again on Saturday with 7 rebounds in the first half alone. Offensively, he has to learn to stick to the easy stuff. If all he did was score off of rebounds he would still be a very good prospect. He knocked down a corner three early in the game, which isn’t a big part of his game.
Antonio Singleton
6’5 – SF – 2016
Singleton didn’t have a big impact on the game but you see the steps he is taking and you can see a bit of what the finished product will look like. When he was younger he was a mid-range scorer, then transitioned more to a wing shooter, and yesterday he showed his ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the rack. Somehow, he is going to have to packaged these all together and if and when he does he could be pretty good.
Indianapolis Manual:
Cameron Sembly
6’2 – SG – 2017
There is a lot to like about Sembly but he’s going to have to find more production and impact on the game. Long armed guard with handles and a decent shooting stroke. Yesterday, he got lost a bit in the shuffle and didn’t get many scoring opportunities. I think he can be a combo guard and he shouldn’t have an issue adding some weight in college.
Couvesier McCauley
6’4 – SF – 2017
McCauley was solid in this one as he scored over 30 points. He shot really well from behind the arc but more than a few of those weren’t the best looks. He falls into the category of a volume scorer right now. He’s not inefficient but he’s definitely got to get better at picking his spots. His upside is really good if he can do that because he’s scoring so much and still has the ability to clean it up a ton. Also liked his rebounding in this one. A little more active on the boards than I had seen in other games this year.
