“Matthew Richmond has interest from Detroit, Eastern Michigan, and Oakland,” said Coach Graham. He is a 6-foot-1 guard from Detroit Chandler Park.
The same three schools, Detroit, EMU, and Oakland are also in the process of evaluating Ron Hill (Detroit Pershing).
“He will probably be a low major,” said Coach Graham.
The R.E.A.C.H. 16u squad will also include Anthony Roberts (Detroit Western), Quinn Blair (Dearborn Divine Child), and Trayvon Jackson. Jackson could be a standout. He is 6-foot-7 with a Detroit offer.
“He visited Michigan,” said Coach Graham. “He visited Michigan State. He is A-10 or better.”
Finally, David Hearns (Hazel Park) earned an a St. Peter’s offer. Any D1 offer can serve as a springboard. Hearns will be another to the Legends’ AAU campaign.
DreQuan Bell Recruitment
Playing for R.E.A.C.H. Legends last summer afforded DreQuan Bell (Detroit Allen Academy) some nice exposure.
The junior is one of the top scorers on a great Allen Academy Wildcat team. Bell routinely dumps in double-figure scoring.
“Oakland (University) has interest,” said AAU Coach Christian Graham. “Eastern (Michigan) is interested. Xavier interest.”
For Wildcats of Allen Academy, DreQuan Bell pairs with Justin Williams (East Tennessee State signed). The team featured Jawan Snoddy and also sharing touches is child superstar Mark “Rocket” Watts.
During his ongoing prep season Bell was evaluated by both Oakland and Eastern Michigan. His ability to score against elite teams will make him a hot commodity during AAU season. Playing with Watts is inadvertently teaching him to accept a role within an offense.
“He is having a good season,” said AAU Coach Graham. “He is a big guard with speed. More schools are going to figure him out this spring with R.E.A.C.H. We are playing on the NY2LA.”
“AAU teammate Jamal Keese is a DII guy,” said Coach Graham. “Liam Soragham (Dearborn Divine Child) has a Northern Indiana offer.”
Keese plays high school with DEPSA.
