The 6-foot-9 center is averaging 13.9 points on 67 percent shooting, and 10.4 rebounds per game this season for the Wahawks, and has picked up two JuCo offers of late.
“A couple weeks ago I went a visit to Ellsworth, and they offered me. That following Saturday we played Decorah, and I talked to the DMACC coach after the game and he offered me too,” said Kuljuhovic.
“I visited Lindenwood (NAIA), outside of St. Louis, and they said they want to offer me, they just want me to fill out a FAFSA form. And I still talk to some schools that I was when we talked last; like Morningside, Grand View, and some other NAIA schools.”
The fast-improving senior discussed the pros and cons of JuCo and NAIA.
“Right now I’m just trying to keep my options open and see what happens. I talked to my coach and he just told me to wait until the season’s over to see if anything else happens before I commit,” said Kuljuhovic.
“If I had another two years I could improve my a lot, so that’s one of the pros of JuCo. But then NAIA I could be there all four years and get really comfortable with the program.”
He added: “When I went on my visit to Ellsworth, I talked to some of the guys, and they said they really like it. It gives them a lot of time to improve on their game, and get ready for the next level.”
With the post-season quickly approaching, the towering 2016 is focused on leading his team as far as he can take them.
“I feel like my role on the team is to be a leader. There are six other seniors, but our coach told us before the season that this team will go as far as the seniors will take it,” he said. “So I’m just trying to go out there and play the best that I can.”
