Bane is a D1 recruit who can do it all and I’m not sure that Seton Catholic would have the resume coming in that they do if he doesn’t score 30+ a night, which he has been doing a lot of. Bane does everything for Seton Catholic as he leads the team in every statistical category and averages a double-double per game. Bane will need to keep this up if Seton Catholic wants to get to state.
Eugene German – 6’0 PG — Gary 21st Century
German is a big part of Gary 21st Century. He leads the state in points per game and you can see why he is a Northern Illinois commit. German can score on anyone in 1A and he can do it really efficiently. German has to keep up his scoring to complement his teammates scoring so that they can make it to state this year.
Eric Hunter — 6’2 SG — Indianapolis Tindley
Hunter may have been a bit of an unknown commodity coming in this year but right now he’s one of the best sophomore scorers in the state and is a huge part of Tinley’s offense. He has a few guys around him but he is the guy that the offense really runs through and he can’t really have an off night in the tournament or Tindley is at a huge risk of falling out of the race for a title.
Ronny Williams — 5’7 PG — Liberty Christian
Williams is the glue of the Liberty Christian offense. He has a good core around him who do much of the scoring but Williams is the guy that really dictates the game. Williams is a true point and is one of the quicker guys in the state. He also has a super good basketball IQ and seems to be able to tell what the offense is going to do. Williams sets the tone for Liberty Christian every time out there.
Brandon Van Sant — 6’7 PF — Bloomfield
You don’t get many better skilled guys in 1A than Van Sant. He may not light up the scoreboard on offensive but he is a really good rebounder and on defense no one will come into the paint and score it seems. Van Sant is a D2 commit and it will be hard pressed to find someone who is better all around in 1A inside. The good part about Van Sant is he also can step outside and knock it down which makes him even more important.
Some more impact guys to watch:
