The Lancers struggled to get anything going offensively in the first half, going 3-15 from the floor (2-12 3P), but a late Corvon Seales 3 sent them into the locker room only down 18-14.
United Township extended the lead to eight in the third quarter but couldn’t put North Scott away. The Lancers hit six of their next eight 3-point attempts to take control of the game. They took the lead for good with a corner 3 from Bailey Basala with 4:45 to play, 36-33. The Lancers shot 71.4% in the second half, including 7-of-10 from behind the arc.
North Scott (5-1) won their fifth straight game since a season-opening loss to Dubuque Wahlert. Bailey Basala led the Lancers with 16 points and 13 rebounds in his season (and Lancer) debut. Corvon Seales added 11 points in the win.
