Eric Hunter
6’2 – PG – 2018
Hunter didn’t have a great game but still looked pretty good in spurts. He’s got such a high level of talent and it showed but he wasn’t super aggressive trying to get shots and that is something Tindley needs him to do to win games. He’s a long, 6’2 point guard and should stick there. Good lefty shooter and hits all over the floor. Solid creator in the mid-range where his handles give him a big advantage. Made a few solid passes in this game but they couldn’t finish for the assist. Caught fire at the end and ripped off 10+ points in the final few minutes. – 25 points
Hunter White
6’1 – PG – 2018
White was the best player on the floor today for Tindley. The 6’1 point guard has plenty of skill and playing off of Eric Hunter allows him to make more plays than he might in other games because of matchups. He is crafty and has just enough speed to keep defenders off balance. Did really well driving into the lane and getting fouled. Made a ton of free throws and understood that Franklin was struggling to defend on the perimeter and in transition. Could be a DII+ level kid but still a lot of time to grow. – 14 points
Franklin Central:
Grant Pedigo
6’6 – SF – 2017
Pedigo was the best player in the game today. He’s grown a bit and filled out as football this past fall might have helped to give him a bit of strength. He was really, really active in the mid-range and looked for shots all game. He has a great touch and finished consistently there. Scored his first 8 points on jumpers or runners in the lane. He’s skilled and gives FC a guy who can be an inside presence. Grant was tough and was able to finish through contact. Really improved in the last few months. – 16 points
Antoyne Jackson
6’5 – SF – 2016
Jackson looked much better than what I saw to end the AAU season. He’s always had a lot of upside but position has been a bit of an issue. He’s played inside and out and really has yet to thrive. Athleticism and body are there and today he finally showed some of the better post moves he has. Likes to play face up, even in the low post, and it allows him to get to his scoring opportunities quicker. Nice jumper from the short elbow and over his right shoulder on the lone back-to-the basket move. Has soft touch but he’ll have to learn to get himself into those chances sooner in possessions. Good upside and gives a lot to love for a DIII/NAIA team.- 9 points
Marcus Burk
6’2 – SG – 2016
Burk caught fire early in the game hitting back-to-back threes and giving Franklin Central a little buffer early in the game. Burk is a solid, strong guard who can really shoot the ball from deep. He was a little more diverse in this game than normal as he attacked the interior of the Tindley defense. Nobody could physically match up with him and he took advantage of it. Burk is a straight two-guard and with his body and consistency, he’s a fit for all non-DI programs. He can keep the diverse game up this year, it should bump him up in the rankings. – 22 points
