Brandon Slater announced tonight via his Twitter account that he has picked up a scholarship offer from Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals. Slater, a 6-foot-6 wing out of Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, VA, is a teammate of senior VJ King, who is signed with the Cardinals.
Coach Farello just told me that Louisville has offered me! Thanks Coach Pitino and Coach Johnson! #GoCards #L1C4 ????⚪️ pic.twitter.com/LgtVqnQiTQ

Slater’s two best games this season have come against elite competition. He recorded 19 points & 7 rebounds to help lift the Panthers over Word of God (NC). In a narrow defeat against Advanced Prep International, he showcased his exceptional perimeter shooting ability on his way to a 17-point effort (4/6 3pt FGM).
Brandon sits comfortably at #3 in our Virginia 2018 Prospect Rankings. He currently holds two other high-major offers already from the University of Southern California, and Virginia Tech. Given his advanced feel, and current ability to impact the game in a variety of ways on both ends, we would expect his uptick in recruitment to continue.
At 6’6″ Slater’s length, mixed with his relentless activity make him a factor defensively.
