This winter Young is following up his hot summer with performances on a different level. He is taking his talents to another level we have not seen before.
In Dallas this weekend at Thanksgiving HoopFest, Young dropped 33 points in Norman North’s opening game on Friday, and 44 points on Saturday. Young is currently ranked 25th overall by ESPN and as the forth Point Guard in the 2017 class.
Any doubters of Young’s talents were silenced this weekend. He showed how much better he has gotten on a national stage against high level talent.
The jump shot of Young is lethal from behind the arc. Defenders cannot give him an inch of room once he passes the half-court line. The most impressive thing about Young is his continued progression on the court.
Oklahoma will get the pleasure to watch Young compete in-state in class 6A throughout the season. If you are a basketball fan make it a point to watch Young at Norman North.
The Timberwolves and Young are seeking their first State Championship in school history. The road will not be easy, but if Young continues to play at this level Norman North will be very tough to beat.
