Notes: The Knights will look to try and defend their Division II state title from a year ago. One major difference, however, is that their top three perimeter players (who were all underclassmen last season) are no longer playing. Jaden Lee and Dontez Thomas have both transferred to Hillcrest Prep which hurts but there is no defection bigger than 6'4″ Loyola-Chicago bound senior Cam Satterwhite who tore his ACL during his final travel tournament in July. Nonetheless, Gilbert Christian is still optimistic about their chances this season, in large part because of their frontcourt which ranks among the best in the state. The obvious center piece is 6'8″ Kansas-bound Mitch Lightfoot, one of the most skilled and bouncy back to the basket players on the westcoast. He will be joined by two versatile 6'7″ forwards in senior Tony Licavoli and junior Nate Graville. The Knights will need some production in the backcourt and will likely look to senior guard Eli Fougnies and 6'3″ freshman Vean Simon to carry the load.
