C Makur Puou (Vincennes University _ Sophomore)
The 6’9” center is Vincennes top returner from a stellar team last year. He has great length and strength which play well on the defensive end of the floor. Puou is a presence in the lane by just being there and making opponents think twice about coming down in the paint with his tremendous mobility. He is a plus athlete that runs the floor fluidly. Offensively he is still a little raw, but has made improvements showing a short jump shot and a nice jump hook. Hands in traffic could improve. Puou should be one of the more coveted Midwest post prospects in the JUCO ranks and is a mid-major prospect for sure.
SF Stuart Jackson (Vincennes University _ Sophomore)
Jackson is a very intriguing prospect at 6’5”. The long and rangy wing is a plus athlete that is super bouncy. He really runs the floor well and finishes in the transition game. Jackson is also a plus catch and shoot guy from the perimeter knocking them down with sound mechanics and consistency. If his defender flies at him Jackson has the ability to slash to the hoop. Defensively has potential with his tools and lateral quickness, but plays a bit high at times. Mid-majors should take a look at him!
PF Justin King (Vincennes University _ Sophomore)
This 6’7” combo forward transferred over to Vincennes after a year at Kaskaskia. He has gotten even stronger in his upper body which allows him to play physical on the glass getting offensive rebounds and making trips to the charity stripe. Plus offensive rebounder that will probably have to be an undersized four at the next level. King can also stretch the floor at times with his lefty jumper. Worth a look for low-major programs.
PF Darren Groves (Vincennes University _ Sophomore)
The 6’7” undersized four man has a physical body and plays with great toughness. Groves motor keeps running which allows him to fight hard on the glass and get second chance buckets. Plus rebounder that knows how to use his body to grab boards. Lacks great lift off the floor. Low-major schools would be wise to look at this post.
PG Jeremiah Bell (Vincennes University _ Freshman)
Bell is a 6’0” point guard that was their leading scorer coming into the game, but looked to set up his teammates. The freshman lead guard has a good feel for the game pushing it in transition and making sound decisions with the ball getting it to his weapons in positions to make them successful. Slick ball handler that creates off bounce and showed athleticism with a nice up and under move.
PG Calvin Kintu (Vincennes University _ Freshman)
Early in the game Kintu was the energizer bunny that pushed Vincennes. The 5’11” lead guard pushes the ball in the open floor with great speed while juking in and out of defenders. Solid pull up mid-range jumper.
G Theo Holloway (Vincennes University _ Freshman)
Holloway is a big combo guard at 6’4” with nice length. He plays with a motor pushing the ball and can really shoot the rock from the perimeter in the catch and shoot. Should be an impact freshman for them this season.
SG Chris Darrington (Vincennes University _ Freshman)
Darrington is a rangy 6’1” shooting guard that is a good athlete. Gets out in transition and is a plus mid-range shooter in the pull up game.
C Romaro Gill (Vincennes University _ Freshman)
Gill is a 7’0” freshman center from Jamaica that has tremendous length. He is still learning the game and is very raw as a prospect, but after a couple years at Vincennes on the court and in the weight room he will no doubt be a coveted D1 prospect.
