Kirk performed well at the NY2LA Sports Futures Camp at the end of October.
“The camp was very fun. A lot of top guys so it felt good coming out and competing with them. I just try to do my best to stand out.”
How would he break down his game?
“I really like to get my teammates involved and then I create my shot after because then the defense is going to collapse. I handle the ball and can shoot it well.”
Kirk discussed his summer with All-In/Young & Reckless on the 16U circuit.
“We played real great in the July period. We got to the final four in most tournaments. We played together and played well.”
He is looking forward to a big season for his team at Joliet West as they have a trio of quality prospects that are the core of their squad.
“We are going to do real big things. We are young. Trevian Bell and Elijah Ward. We are going to be real tough this year!”
Kirk currently holds one offer from Chicago State. He updated us on the other schools that are showing interest.
“I am hearing from Wright State, UIC, Illinois State, Cornell, Brown, and some Ivy Leagues.”
