Sackor holds value as a sleeper
Physically, Musah Sackor certainly fits the mold of a division 1 wing prospect. At 6’6, he has the size, length, and athleticism to defend multiple positions. Having played AAU with Team Focus this summer, Sackor has improved certain aspects of his game with the hopes of attracting more interest.
“I think I play really athletic. I go to the rim hard,” said Sackor. “My defense is underrated. I can guard basically any position. Most improved since last year would have to be my shooting.”
Park View High School hosted a shoot-out event on Saturday, October 24. Eastern View was one of the 10 teams in attendance, and Sackor’s improved shooting stroke was on display. He was seen converting several shots from deep, while exhibiting a quick and comfortable release. He ran the floor well, and showed a very active motor. He had some very athletic finishes in transition.
His recruitment has mainly gone under the radar thus far, but is beginning to take shape. Navy and Morgan State have showed interest. Coaches mention they would like him to improve his ball-handling and court vision. Given his recent improvements, however, it wouldn’t be shocking to see more schools inquire about Sackor very soon. He has one goal in sight as he heads into his senior season.
“I want to make it all the way to states,” he said. “We all gotta lock-in, listen to whatever coach says, and play defense.”
