Washington 2017 point guard Devin Whitelow was the heart and soul of a talented Illinois Irish 16U squad.  He was the leader on the floor and the guy that set up all of his other teammates and put them in positions to succeed.  Whitelow is a player that guys want to follow and be around.  He has a high basketball IQ and plays with toughness.  The pass first point guard has sound vision and makes quality decisions with the basketball.  Can also get a bucket in key moments if the opponent thinks he is going to dish.

He talked about his summer with the Irish 16U.

“We played well.  Toward the end we finally figured out some things and our chemistry was better.  I am really looking forward to next year.”

With the season kicking off here shortly how is his team looking at Washington this year?

“It is going well.  We don’t have much height.  I will have a bigger role this year.  It should be a fun season.”

Whitelow discussed his leadership role on the team as a junior.
