He was the leader on the floor and the guy that set up all of his other teammates and put them in positions to succeed. Whitelow is a player that guys want to follow and be around. He has a high basketball IQ and plays with toughness. The pass first point guard has sound vision and makes quality decisions with the basketball. Can also get a bucket in key moments if the opponent thinks he is going to dish.
He talked about his summer with the Irish 16U.
“We played well. Toward the end we finally figured out some things and our chemistry was better. I am really looking forward to next year.”
With the season kicking off here shortly how is his team looking at Washington this year?
“It is going well. We don’t have much height. I will have a bigger role this year. It should be a fun season.”
Whitelow discussed his leadership role on the team as a junior.
“I just have to push my guys. That is one of the responsibilities of a point guard. I have to push my guys and put myself in situations to succeed as well.”
He updated us on the status of his early recruitment.
“I am still hearing from the same schools. SEMO is starting to ask about me. Bradley came to a few open gyms.”
