Though Iowa’s 2019s are just beginning to be evaluated, it’s by word of mouth alone that Sioux City East freshman Aidan Vanderloo has already become one of the top names to watch out for in the class.

And though most of the current freshman would have no recruiting news to share just yet, Vanderloo used his offseason to expose himself on the grassroots and camp circuits, generating some high-level interest -- albeit vague -- in the process.

“I’ve heard a little bit from all levels so far from NAIA to D2, D1, and D3,” said the top-2019 prospect.

The 6-foot-1 guard did mention some high level Division I schools had reached out to him, but did not mention which in particular -- he said he did not want to exclude anybody. He did mention that schools interested are from the Big Ten and ACC conferences.

“Really just getting a lot of exposure this summer was when my recruitment really started, it was after the CP3 camp my name really got out there,” said Vanderloo. “I heard from an ACC school right after the camp, and I also heard from a Big Ten school right after the camp,
