Jacob Hinker, Lennox, Sr. Took his team to state with a nasty average of 18 points and nearly 11 rebounds per game plus dished out three assists playing inside and out. The 6-foot-3 playmaker can give you the skill, or give the horns busting through.
Chad Barkema, SF Christian, Sr. Chad is one of many SF Christian players that has PHD thinking they could win state. He’s coming off of a 14 point, 7.4 rebound, three assists per game season and is only getting better. Long, active, and versatile, Barkema produces on both ends.
Ty Hoglund, Dell Rapids, Sr. Hoglund led his team to 22-3 a year ago and second place at state putting up 19.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per contest. He was the Dakota XII Player of the year and has committed to DWU.
Noah Vettrus, West Central, Sr. Produced massive numbers for his team before being knocked out a year ago in the semi-finals. Put up 23.6 points per contest with 2.5 assists, and 2.1 steals. Noah stands 6-foot-2 and excels in other sports as well.
Collin Kramer, Sioux Valley, Sr. The DWU committed player is more than just a flashy highlight film. Kramer gave his team 18 points, seven boards, and over three assists a night as a play maker.
Prseason All State – Second Team
Jake Satter, St. Thomas More, Jr. Satter made more treys than anybody in state and was the leading scorer on a Cavalier team that made it to state.
Isaac Kortemyer, St. Thomas More, Jr. Isaac will man the middle for the third year in a row with his length and agility in an active 6-foot-8 body.
Tayton Vincent, Sioux Valley, Jr. Although injuries have kept him away from the court way more than he would like Vincent is still one of the best in his grade.
Seth Friesz, Chamberlain, Jr. The only sophomore to make all state last year, Seth produced 19 points and 4.5 rebounds a game.
Kobe O’Rourke, Red Cloud, Sr. Put up 18 a night, scoring in many ways. O'Rourke is a playmaker and we expect him to lead Red Cloud on a big run this season.
Prseason All State – Third Team
Tate Deinert, Mt Vernon/Plankinton, Sr. Scored 19 a game last year.
Ethan Friedel, Tea Area, Jr. One of the best shooters in the state no doubt.
