Daquan Bracey, the St. Frances senior point guard, made his choice this week, and will be heading to Louisiana Tech to play next fall.
The school and The Baltimore Sun both reported the news this week. Bracey is a solid ball-handler with quickness and speed that can help an offense go.
He's 5-foot-10 and works well with both hands, and Louisiana Tech is delighted to have him.
“[He] is a quick and clever guard with an attacking mentality,” Louisiana Tech coach Eric Konkol said in a statement. “He has the uncanny ability to penetrate the lane and create for his team as well as be disruptive defensively. He will be well prepared for college having competed in the strong [Baltimore Catholic League] and being coached by Nick Myles.”
Last year, The Sun made him a second-team All-Metro pick as he averaged 15 points per game plus seven assists and 4.6 rebounds and was a good long-range shooter. Bracey was a big reason that St. Frances made it to the semifinals of the tough Baltimore Catholic League tournament.
