The Royals bring just about everything back a year more experienced plus add Amir Coffey, the top ranked senior in state, in place of John Warren. Not to mention young and talented athletes will fill some of the roles and young talent is coming up that could make them the deepest team in the state.
Top Ten in State Right Now: Wayzata, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka
Honestly if things go right these teams could also be playing for state on the final Saturday of the season if they all come together and have a great year. I could of put them up there but then all of these sections would be blank. Wayzata has been working towards this season for a long time and have the skill, size, and depth to make a run, EP has a scorer and size to replace but they will be good, and this is the year Minnetonka has been building towards with Coatta and Miller as seniors.
Potential Top Ten: Edina
They aren’t far off either. Walt McGrory has been hurt but is very talented and D2 bound Will Moreton next to him that is a fantastic 1-2 punch. The Hornets run good stuff, have some good young talent, and will be a tough beat as well in the Lake.
Compete with Most:
Everybody in this league can compete with every team in the state.
