Simeon 2016 guard Josh Thomas had a breakout spring proving he could play against the best players in the country in the Nike EYBL as Thomas was the go to scorer for Meanstreets.  We caught up with the senior to see how he felt the experience went this past spring and summer on the grassroots circuit.

“Well my spring and summer was great.  I feel that we could’ve played much better.  We just weren’t clicking as a team and lost way too many games.  But other than that it was great.  I feel like I can score on anyone.  There’s not a player who can guard me one on one.  Also playing with Meanstreets just showed me how to compete!”

He is now back with his high school team playing open gym at Simeon as the Wolverines prepare for this upcoming season.  He is also starting to focus on his recruitment more.

“Recruiting is going ok.  I’ll probably make my decision somewhere in between December and January.”
